Aston Villa are still in with a chance of securing Champions League football for next season, but they will likely need a perfect end to their campaign.

Fulham can move to within three points of their hosts in the table if they can secure victory in Saturday's early match.

Aston Villa have been excellent this season, with the side edging closer to returning to the Champions League immediately.

Their 16 wins in 34 matches means they are a handful of points short of the top places. Four wins will see Villa finish on 69 points, which may yet prove enough to finish in the top-four. Confidence in their ability to win will be high, especially at home, where they have won nine of their 17, losing once.

While Fulham sit one place below them in the standings, Villa are the better side according to their recent head to head, and I back them to win this one despite failing to keep a clean sheet once again.

Fulham have enjoyed an excellent season, with any fears of relegation a long way behind them.

The 51 points they have secured means they are 30 clear of Ipswich in 18th, while they are also a long way above the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham. Victory in this one would drag them to within three points of their hosts and make it two consecutive league wins.

While Fulham have won seven times on the road this season, they have also lost six matches, with three of these defeats coming in their last four. While I back them to score, I do not predict that they will win this match as the gap between themselves and the top sides is highlighted.

I am backing Villa to secure a crucial win as they keep their Champions League hopes alive. I do not back them to keep a clean sheet as they concede a half-century of goals this season.
