Barcelona will know the value of building a commanding first-leg lead after they were given a real score by Borussia Dortmund in the last round.

Leading 4-0 after the first-leg, Barca eventually beat their opponents 5-3 on aggregate after losing the second-leg 3-1. Had they have struggled to score goals in the first-leg, then they might have been eliminated in the last round.

Robert Lewandowski was vital in Barca’s aggregate win as he scored twice, and I back him to continue to score goals as he leads the Spanish side to a first-leg lead.

Inter Milan Form

Inter Milan continue to defy expectation, with the Italian side now just two matches away from potentially appearing in the Champions League final.

Inter Milan built their aggregate win over Bayern Munich in the last round on a 2-1 win in Germany before they held on to secure a 2-2 draw in the second-leg. While they were hardly comfortable, they got the job done, which is all that really mattered.

Now, they face a Barcelona side that is flying. Avoiding defeat in this match would be a huge positive, but I do not predict that they will be able to down Barcelona on their own patch. As long as the margin of defeat is no more than a goal, Inter will have every chance of stunning their opponents in Italy.
