Before looking at the Conor McGregor - Michael Chandler betting odds, let’s address the elephant in the room. That is, will this fight actually happen, or is it going to fall through?

The anticipation was building until the UFC suddenly had to cancel the Dublin press conference scheduled for Monday, June 3. Around the same time, a video emerged of McGregor out clubbing, which may or may not have been a factor in the cancellation.

As rumors swirled that the UFC 303 main event was in jeopardy, McGregor took to X to apologize to his fans, while declaring, “I can’t wait to put on the greatest all-time show in the Octagon.”

A few days later, Mike Chandler confirmed the fight is still on. Since calling off the press conference, the UFC has been extremely quiet. As a long-term fan, the silence is a little worrying.

That said, Dana White already bragged that ticket sales for the live gate had passed $20 million. Should McGregor pull out, it would create a huge mess. Therefore, the silence could be the UFC treading eggshells and keeping its fingers crossed that the card doesn’t fall apart.

McGregor vs Chandler Betting Odds

UFC 303 is three weeks away, and at the time of writing, Stake.com has Michael Chandler as the slight favorite. Stake is offering 1.87 on Chandler against 1.94 for McGregor.

UFC 303 Predictions

Given the many variables for the main event, it’s difficult to base UFC 303 predictions on anything other than a gut feeling.

Conor McGregor is not the same fighter who won the Featherweight and Lightweight Championships. That was a long time ago, and a lot has happened (mainly outside of the octagon) since then.

As for Chandler, he seems to fall short when facing the best in the UFC. It’s difficult to see him challenging for a strap, which is probably why he hasn’t stepped foot in the octagon for two years. Will the wait for McGregor finally pay off?

This fight is a welterweight (170lbs). I expect both men to be packing extra muscle. From the photos of Conor, he looks jacked up compared to how he used to be. Considering that, I can see the two fighters emptying their gas tanks early.

My prediction is a second finish, but it could go to either man.
