LosPollosTV screams out a string of expletives after a crazy bad beat stopped him from pocketing $20,000 at the blackjack table.

$20K Bad Beat Sucker Punch

Anyone who has played card games will know how Los Pollos felt after suffering a mad blackjack bad beat while live on air.

The drama unfolded on the Salon Prive blackjack tables at Stake.com. Los placed a $10,000 bet, plus $100 each on the Perfect Pairs and 21+3 side bets.

The cards were dealt, with Los receiving two Aces of Clubs, so he won 25:1 for hitting the Perfect Pair. The dealer’s up card was a 4, so he missed out on the 21+3 bet.

Naturally, Los chose to split his Aces. This meant he doubled his bet to $20,000. When a player splits aces, the rules are that they only draw one more card to each hand, and you cannot get blackjack.

  • On the first hand, Los was dealt the Queen of Clubs to go with his Ace, giving him a hand total of 21
  • On the second hand, he was dealt the ten of Spades to go with his Ace, giving him a hand total of 21

At this point, Los couldn’t lose. Both hands totalled 21 points, and the dealer didn’t have blackjack. All that could prevent him from winning was the dealer hitting 21, and that’s what happened.

Alongside the four of Hearts, the dealer flipped over the seven of Diamonds. Whispers of, ‘no, no, no, no’ rolled out on the stream as the next card was pulled from the shoe. It was turned over to reveal the Jack of Clubs. Incredibly, the dealer had hit 21, so the $20,000 bet was a push (tie).

Los won $2,500 on his Perfect Pairs bet, but this didn’t stop him from losing his mind for a bit after the madness of this blackjack bad beat.
