No team could get close to Liverpool in the 2024/25 Premier League season and, despite failing to win any of their last four matches, they ended the season 10 points clear of Arsenal in second.

The Reds arrive for the new season as the favourites, but they will likely see a far sterner test of their credentials in the 2025/26 campaign.

Indeed, Manchester City will have aspirations of improving on an awful run midway through the season that ultimately saw them hand the trophy over to Liverpool. Incredibly, despite their torrid run in an underwhelming season, City only finished three points behind Arsenal, who are also among the top teams in the betting.

Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa are all fancied to have their say in the title race next season after strong campaigns in the 2024/25 term.

The interesting propositions in the betting are Manchester United and Tottenham. Both were in awful form last season, with United finishing in 15th and Tottenham ending in 17th despite winning the Europa League.

United finished with exactly half the points champions Liverpool secured, while Tottenham only finished 13 points clear of 18th placed Leicester City. Both will likely need to be very active in the summer transfer window if they are to compete.

With the competition set to begin in August, which side will secure the title in 2026? Can Liverpool defend their crown, or will another side triumph in the most exciting and unpredictable league in club football?
