For the 20th time in NBA history, we’re heading to a decisive Game 7 in the Finals.
Can OKC keep the tradition of home teams prevailing in these do-or-die matchups, or will the Indiana Pacers become just the fifth team ever to win a Game 7 on the road in the Finals?

The Western Conference champions had a night to forget in Game 6, suffering a blowout loss without putting up much of a fight.
After jumping out to an early 8-point lead in the opening four minutes, OKC’s offense suddenly came to a halt. From that moment on, the Pacers took control—and never looked back.
The Thunder looked completely out of sync, making mistake after mistake. They lacked their trademark ball pressure, and their outside shooting was shaky at best.
They committed 21 turnovers compared to just 10 by Indiana, dished out nine fewer assists, and shot a miserable 27% from three-point range.
There were hardly any bright spots, with very few players stepping up. League MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander managed just 21 points, while the next top scorer was Jalen Williams with 16.

Despite being given little chance before the game, the Indiana Pacers pulled off a commanding win to force a decisive Game 7.
Dealing with injury concerns, star guard Tyrese Haliburton still suited up and started, making a key contribution to the victory.
What made the night even more impressive was that the game was essentially over by the end of the third quarter, allowing head coach Rick Carlisle to rest his starters and preserve their energy for the final showdown.
The Pacers delivered a brilliant team performance, anchored by suffocating defense that completely disrupted the Thunder's rhythm.
Six Indiana players scored in double figures, with bench spark Obi Toppin leading the way—dropping 20 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in just 23 minutes of action.
He was followed by Andrew Nembhard with 17 points, Pascal Siakam with 16, Haliburton with 14, T.J. McConnell adding 12, and Aaron Nesmith chipping in 10.

This will be the ninth meeting between these two teams this season, but that hardly matters now—because everything comes down to this one final game.
Verdict
The previous game, which ended in a 108–91 win for the Pacers, was by far OKC’s least efficient performance of the series.
Whether it was nerves, the pressure of the moment on this young team, Indiana’s excellent defense—or a mix of all three—is up for debate.
I don’t expect the Thunder to have another game that poor, but at the same time, I don’t think we’ll see a free-flowing, high-scoring affair in the most important game of the season. With so much on the line, both teams are likely to come out tight and cautious.
