Venezia vs Juventus Preview & Tips – Venezia to stun Juventus on final weekend of the Serie A season

Juventus secured a vital 2-0 win over Udinese as they kept control of fourth place in the league. 

Juventus have won six of their last 10 against Venezia, with the other four ending as draws. 

Venezia have to win their final match of the season if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation from Serie A this term. 

Their 3-0 loss to Cagliari last week coupled with a win for Lecce means safety is now two points above Venezia. Anything other than a win will see the home side relegated in front of their own fans. 

Fortunately for Venezia, they have been fairly good of late. They are unbeaten in two of their last three, while they have only lost three of their last 12. With four draws in their last 10 against Juventus, Venezia will be confident they can frustrate the travelling side. However, with goals a real issue this season, I do not back them to take the three points they need from Juve. 

Juventus have made securing a top four spot very difficult in recent weeks, with a pair of 1-1 draws against Bologna and Lazio seeing Roma and Lazio drag themselves into Champions League contention. 

A win in their final match of the season will mean that they secure fourth place. However, with 16 draws across the season, Juventus have managed to drop points in 20 of their 37 matches, while they have failed to win two of their last three in the league. 

With the pressure of securing a win to finish in the top four weighing heavily on them, I predict that Juve will falter. Nine of their 16 away games have ended in draws, while they have failed to win any of their last five on the road in a torrid run for the side.
