Argentina Troll Musician Drake Following Failed Copa America Bet
- Drake wagered $300k on his boys Canada to beat Argentina in their Copa America semi-final
- Argentina won the match 2-0, thanks to goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi
- The Argentine team playfully mocked Drake's on social media for the losing bet

The Argentina national football team could not resist having a little dig at Drake following his $300K wager on Les Rouges to dump the South American side out of this year's Copa America.

You may recall that a few days ago, I wrote about Drake placing a $300K wager on Canada to beat Argentina in their upcoming Copa America 2024 semi-final. If Drake had won, he would have collected $2.88M.
Well, not only did things not go to plan for the Men's Canadian football team, but Drake then found himself being trolled by the social media team behind the Argentine national team.
Argentina beat Canada 2-0 when the two sides met in the group stage, and the result was the same in the semi-final, with Man City's Julian Alvarez and Inter Miami's Lionel Messi getting the goals.
Of course, that meant Drake's bet went up in smoke. While some feel that the big wager was simply Drake, who is Canadian, showing patriotism to his country, it didn't stop the Argentinians from taking a cheeky swipe in his direction.
The “God’s Plan” rapper has been embroiled in a bitter feud with fellow musician Kendrick Lamar. Leaving the alleged allegations to one side, both stars have released a series of 'diss tracks' to let everyone know how they feel.
One of these from Lamar has the title "Not Like Us". Argentina's social media ran with this and posted the tweet, "Not Like Us, not with us".
The cheeky post would have poured more salt on Drake's recent bet history after big losses on the Dallas Mavericks and Edmonton Oilers.
