While many boxing purists ridiculed the Paul-Tyson fight, it didn’t dampen the betting markets, with some colossal bets being placed on both fighters.

xQc Claws Back Some of Harris Losses with Paul Win

After rolling the dice with a $700K bet on Harris to win the US presidential race, xQc needed a big win, and that’s what he got with the Jake Paul - Mike Tyson boxing match.

xQc put his money on Jake Paul to win. He wagered $451,643.83 using the king of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin. At odds of 1.43, xQc collected $645,850.68 when Paul got his hand raised after the fight went to the judges’ scorecards.

Risky Tyson Bet Doesn’t Pay Off for Drizzy

Canadian rapper Drake is known for placing big bets, and he didn’t want to miss out on the action. Unlike xQc, Drake put his money on the 58-year-old underdog, Mike Tyson.

Admittedly, Tyson has looked pretty sharp (for his age) in training, and he came out strong in the first round. However, he faded as the fight wore on, giving Paul a fairly lopsided victory.

Drake’s bet was $355,000.00 at odds of 2.85. Had Tyson won, he would have picked up $1,011,750.00.

What’s Next for Jake Paul?

Love him or hate him, I think Jake Paul deserves respect and credit for what he has achieved. This 27-year-old young man has gone from being a Youtuber to fighting Mike Tyson at the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

More than 60,000 people packed into AT&T stadium, and it‘s estimated that around 100 million people watched the fight on Netflix. Plenty of people from across social media claim that all of Paul’s fights are rigged, but if that’s the case, it makes the numbers he is putting up even more impressive.

The exact amount is unknown, but sources close to Tyson have said that he earned $20,000,000 for the 16-minute fight. That’s thanks to Paul and his promotional skills.

So, what’s next for the Problem Child? One name that has come up in the past is Canelo Alvarez. I don’t believe Paul stands a chance against one of the world’s best pound-for-pound boxers, but what an achievement it would be to get a fight against the mighty Mexican, who is arguably the biggest name in the sport.
