Since their loss to Dijon in the playoff quarterfinals, Paris have been unstoppable, racking up five consecutive wins marked by high-scoring performances.

They put up 114 points against Dijon, then followed with 100, 117, and 103 points in games against Bourg, and scored 94 in their latest clash with Monaco.

The title race is far from over—they still need to beat a team that reached the Euroleague finals twice more—but judging by their current form, the home side looks much closer to achieving that than their rivals.

In the opener, Shorts, who will join Panathinaikos next season, stole the show with 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Hifi was also impressive, contributing 18 points, while Ward added 16 points along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Monaco entered this series as the underdog, and that proved to be an accurate reflection of the on-court reality. Not so much because Paris has home-court advantage, but mainly due to the absence of Mike James.

As is well known, James was suspended for the entire final series following an incident at a nightclub, which is a huge blow for the team from the Principality.

In the first game, Jaiteh led Monaco with 17 points, Diallo added 16, and only Strazel reached double digits. The team lacked bench support.

Monaco eliminated Le Mans and ASVEL in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the playoffs, but this final will be a much tougher challenge.
